Privacy Policy

This policy explains how BackedCut handles information from pilot requests and paid orders. Contact us about this policy or a data request at hello@backedcut.com.

Information we collect

For a pilot request, we collect a business name, work email, public product URL, product category, confirmation that approved assets are available, and a simple label for the public offer version that led to the request. When someone chooses secure checkout, we create a random anonymous checkout reference and store only the offer version, bounded campaign labels, and timestamps. We do not store an IP address, user agent, full referrer, email, or raw URL in that checkout-intent record. For a paid order, we may collect the Checkout contact information, approved brief, approved claims and offer details, and source files needed to fulfill the order. Payment-card details are handled by Stripe and are not stored by BackedCut.

How we use information

We use request information to evaluate pilot fit and reply about that request. We use order information to process the order, provide intake, create and deliver the agreed work, provide support, and handle the included revision. We do not sell personal information, use it for cold outreach, or use client materials for a case study, model training, or another purpose without separate written permission.

Service providers

We use Stripe for payments, an email provider for private owner alerts and order-related messages, and cloud hosting and storage providers for the private request queue and client workspace. Those providers process information only as needed to provide their services and under their own terms and privacy policies.

Retention

Anonymous checkout-intent records and pilot requests are automatically deleted after 30 calendar days. While an order is active, the buyer's order email, brief, and source files may be retained for up to 90 calendar days. After delivery is published, the private workspace and final files remain available for 30 calendar days and are then deleted by the retention workflow. Stripe may retain payment and accounting records under its own policies.

Choices and requests

You can ask to access, correct, or delete personal information that we hold by contacting us at the address above. We may need to verify the request and may retain limited information when required for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, or dispute purposes.

Security and children

We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information we handle, but no internet transmission or storage system is completely secure. BackedCut is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Analytics and changes

During the founding pilot, BackedCut uses the anonymous checkout reference to compare checkout activity across simple campaign and offer-version labels. The reference is linked to an order only after Stripe reports a qualifying paid Checkout session and BackedCut's existing payment checks pass. We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure aggregate page visits and page performance; those reports are used to improve the site and evaluate the sales funnel, not to identify individual visitors. BackedCut does not use advertising pixels, retargeting, cross-site tracking, or behavioral profiles. If our information practices materially change, we will update this policy and its effective date.
