Service Terms

These Service Terms govern a purchase of a BackedCut product-ad service. BackedCut is a sole-proprietor creative-production business. Contact us at hello@backedcut.com.

The services

The starter ad is a one-time $95 USD service. It includes one 15-second vertical product ad made from approved client assets and facts, captions, licensed background music, and one in-scope revision round. It does not include voiceover, new filming, full scriptwriting, media buying, or a performance guarantee.

The founding sprint is a one-time $295 USD service for the first four accepted paid orders. It includes five named product-test angles, one 9:16 motion creative and one 4:5 static companion for each angle, a creative test map, a claim and QA log, captions, an upload/testing sheet, and one in-scope revision round. Standard scope is $395 after the founding pilot.

Reservation, fit, and start time

Direct checkout reserves the selected service; it does not begin production or approve a product claim. After checkout, BackedCut reviews the completed intake, source-asset readiness, and the availability of approved product facts. The starter ad's three-business-day period and the sprint's 72-hour period begin only after payment, a completed intake, and approval of the supplied assets, product facts, offer details, and required disclaimers. An incomplete or unclear brief pauses the work. If we cannot accept the work because it falls outside the stated boundaries or the supplied materials cannot be used, you may choose a full refund before production begins.

Client responsibilities

You confirm that you own or are authorized to use every supplied asset and that the product facts, claims, pricing, promotions, and disclaimers you provide are accurate and approved for this order. You remain responsible for your product, advertising account, media spend, platform compliance, and the decision to publish or run any creative.

Boundaries

BackedCut does not knowingly create fake testimonials, deceptive endorsements, unsupported product results, unapproved regulated claims, impersonations, celebrity lookalikes, or material with unclear rights. We may pause or decline a request that crosses those boundaries. The sprint does not include creator sourcing, new filming, media buying, campaign management, or an advertising-performance guarantee.

Revision, cancellation, and refunds

One revision round covers adjustments within the approved brief, such as a corrected approved claim, text, crop, or pacing preference. New products, campaign directions, source assets, claims, or concepts require a separate agreement. A full refund is available before the approved intake is locked for production. A 50% refund is available if you cancel after that point and before delivery. If BackedCut cannot deliver the promised fixed scope because of its own production failure, you may choose a reasonable retry or a full refund. A delivered conforming package, client delay, or inaccurate or unapproved client materials do not create an automatic refund.

Ownership and use

After full payment, you own the final delivered files for your order. BackedCut retains its pre-existing workflow, templates, software, methods, and unused working files. Your source assets remain yours or your licensors' property. We use your materials only to perform the order unless you give separate written permission.

Disclaimers and liability

BackedCut provides creative-production and organization services. We do not promise advertising approval, sales, conversion rate, return on ad spend, impressions, or any other performance result. To the extent allowed by law, BackedCut's total liability for an affected order is limited to the amount you paid for that order, and BackedCut is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.

Governing law

Oregon law governs these terms, subject to any consumer-protection rule that applies to you. Any dispute must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Oregon unless applicable law requires a different venue.

Changes

We may update these terms for future requests or purchases. The version in effect when you complete checkout applies to that order.
